Good afternoon! (Evening?)

It’s been longer than a month since I did one of these but in all honesty all the stuff I’ve been working on has felt like it’s taken a long time to do very little. (Something something the roots of the plant grow underground and you can’t see the progress until the plant shoots up suddenly).

Anyway, I’ve got another silly Sorcery and Cecilia comic, the bones of the next silly party I’m planning, and a pretty solid “Hope’s Guide to the Apocalypse” update.

Sorcery and Cecilia:

If my little comics aren’t convincing you to read this book…. (I was going to say nothing will but that seems a little self-important. You ought to try the book out. Wrede and Stevermer are clever and the characters are consistently wonderful.) I’ll include the newest one and the other most recent one underneath.

PAUSE! These comic pages aren’t from the same scene. Just thought you should know.

Sandwich Party

The next silly party I’m planning is a “Quest for the Holy Sandwich” modelled off the quest for the holy grail. I’m proud of my little (impossible to read) font

Hope’s Guide to the Apocalypse

Here’s a little to-be-refined pitch:

Hope has always been excited for the apocalypse, but when it arrives, she and her cat (insert Cat name here, haha) find that it’s not quite what they expected.

We’ve started some character designs. Likely as the story evolves these will have to change slightly but we’re getting there. (These are some of the people Hope is going to meet. They’re all coping with the apocalypse differently…. That is to say, badly.)

Thanks for joining me this week! I was re-reading some of my creative writing journal today and think some silly stories may be in our future.

See you again next week!

Hiked this hill last week over Memorial day weekend. The pride I felt???
